PL 13-63  To enact a Comprehensive Readiness and Response System for emergency health threats, including those caused by Bio-Terrorism;effective 02-10-04.


PL 13-62  To amend 3 CMC § 4434(i)(l)(b) as amended by Public Law 13-20 to allow the Department of Public Works to hire nonresident professionals for technical and professional positions until September 30,2005; effective 01-12-04.


PL 13-61  To amend 4 CMC 5 4344(d) of the Commonwealth Entry and Deportation Act of 1983 to require the Office of the Attorney General to promulgate rules and regulations implementing certain applicable international treaties and conventions related to the status and treatment of persons fearing persecution and torture, cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment or punishment in their country of origin; effective 01-08-04.

CNMI Statutes  :  Local Laws
Senatorial district delegations of the Commonwealth Legislature enact local laws pursuant to the Local Law Act of 1983 (1 CMC § 1401 et seq.), which permits legislation pertaining exclusively to individual senatorial districts. There are currently three senatorial districts: Rota (District One), Tinian and Aguiguan (District Two), and Saipan and the Northern Islands (District Three).
